Feeling better! :D

So for those who read my last post, I will summarize it. I was lamenting 2 days after eating cooked food and feeling like a pile of .. you know what.

But the good news is that I am feeling so much better! All the negative effects have gone, and I'm feeling really good now.

We didn't go and visit my grandparents + extra family members in the North Island for Christmas, which was cool because it meant that being Raw over Christmas was superrrr easy!

I woke up and we had chocolate ice cream and a smoothie for breakfast, and then for lunch I had two tacos! Yes, that's right, I had TWO. Well, it was Christmas... Can't remember what I had for dinner, but it was a pretty awesome day. I liked it mostly because I really enjoyed my food instead of having that shoveling food into my mouth feeling.

Also in our house we have a tradition of making Christmas presents for each other. I used to hate it, but in recent years I've really got into it, I think it's that feeling of making something for someone with love, and knowing that you put effort into it.

I haven't gotten a picture of the finished present I made for my mum, but here it is when it was a work in progress.

You probably can't guess what it was, but it was a Latin Alphabet book. Yes, that's right, I learn Latin, could I be anymore of a geek :B

Something really horrible happened on Boxing Day though! We went into town, and when we were walking there there was a really strong aftershock. Calm people were suddenly screaming and running into the middle of the road, and nearby bridges were moving. It is a pretty remarkable sight when you see the earth move, let me tell you...

I'm sorry, I don't have anything else to say, except that I may have a surprise to post about soon, and that it is raining today.

I took a picture from my window, but then it started raining on me >:C

As you can see, our camera is so useless and lazy that it didn't even bother to open it's shutter things properly -___- (Hint to my mum: We need a new camera!!)

That's all.

Hope everyone had a good Xmas and a good New Year, and my birthday is soon, on the 2nd! :D

Love,
Felic Pear x

  2. I think I already told you this but our 15 year old daughter also stidies Latin, this is her 5th year doing so. It is not dorky that is for sure, it is tough as all get out!! But a very important language, helps tremendously with learning/understanding English Grammar. Not to mention decoding words by breaking down the roots.
Glad to hear you had a great day and are feeling well.

  3. I know, I personally actually love learning Latin and have got a lot out of it, and I've become quite the grammar nazi now, but I'm the only person who learns it at my school, so that's why it's a bit strange :B

Then again, I am also the only raw vegan at my school, so clearly I do some things differently :D

tibi pacem et crudum sanitas quoque,

  4. You are fortunate that you can take it at school. Here in Florida the only students that can take Latin are the homeschoolers.
I hear yah about doing things differently--we do a lot of things differently but are proud of it.
    Peace & Raw Health,
